Privacy Policy for ScrollRok
Last Updated: March 2026
ScrollRok ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting user data. This Privacy Policy explains how ScrollRok operates and how user information is handled.
By using ScrollRok, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. No Account or Personal Information
ScrollRok does not require any user account and does not ask for or collect personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, names, contacts, location data, or media files.
Users can use the application without providing any personal information.
2. Offline Functionality
ScrollRok works completely offline. The app does not require internet access to function and does not send any information to external servers.
All operations and processing occur locally on the user’s device.
3. Accessibility Service Usage
ScrollRok uses the Android Accessibility Service to help users reduce distractions from short-form video feeds such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
The Accessibility Service is used only to:
- Detect when short-video feeds are opened
- Analyze interface elements of supported apps
- Automatically exit the short-video feed
This feature allows the app to trigger system actions such as pressing the device Back button to exit the feed.
4. What ScrollRok Does NOT Do
The application does NOT:
- Collect personal data
- Record screen content
- Capture keystrokes
- Read passwords
- Monitor private messages
- Store browsing history
- Transmit user data to external servers
All Accessibility analysis happens locally on the device only.
5. Local App Settings
ScrollRok stores limited application settings locally on the device, such as whether Instagram blocking or YouTube Shorts blocking is enabled.
These settings are stored using Android SharedPreferences and remain only on the user’s device.
6. Third-Party Services
ScrollRok does not use third-party analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking services.
7. Children's Privacy
ScrollRok does not collect personal information from users of any age, including children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal data, it is safe for general audiences.
8. Permissions Used
Accessibility Service Permission
This permission allows ScrollRok to detect and block distracting short-video feeds inside supported applications. The permission is used strictly for the core functionality of the app.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the application functionality changes. Updates will be reflected by revising the “Last Updated” date.
10. Contact
If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy, you may contact us through the application’s listing on the Google Play Store.
